DeVries Earth Day Print Photo Contest
*UPDATE 4/19/17* There is now a 24-hour submissions box hanging on the front door of the main building. If you can't drop off your submission materials during our regular office hours, just place them in the box!
In celebration of Earth Day, April 22, DeVries Nature Conservancy is sponsoring a print photo contest! The contest is open to photographers of all ages and skill levels. There are three age divisions:
The subject of the contest is Nature and the Natural World. Eligible entries will feature natural scenes and subjects, free from human interference. Nature is the Earth’s gift to all of us, and it's our duty to cherish and protect it for future generations. What part of Nature do you want to protect the most? Let us know in your photographs!
Eligible photos do not have to be taken on DeVries grounds, nor do they have to be taken during the entry period. We'll accept any photos that depict the subject, no matter where or when they were taken.
Entry is free for DeVries members and kids up to 12; for everyone else there is a five dollar ($5) entry fee.
We'll be teaming up with the Owosso Area Camera Club to judge the photographs, and one winner will be selected for each division. Each winner will receive a handsome prize package featuring DeVries Nature Conservancy merchandise and the opportunity to have their photograph framed and hung in our main building for all to see! Read the official rules below for a complete list of prizes and more information about how to enter. The Parental Consent form required for participation in the Young Adult division is also available below.
Anyone who takes photographs on the DeVries grounds is welcome to bring them to the main building during business hours and an available staff member will print them out. We'll accept up to five photos from each participant, so don't hold back! Get outdoors and have some fun!
