Our BIRDS OF PREY event has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 10 at 6pm!
This event is free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating on the grass.
Learn about Freshwater Mussels with the U.S. Fish and Widlife Service! Learn about the amazing life cycle of native freshwater mussels, and how they help keep our water healthy! There will be a field component where participants can get into the river to participate (weather permitting). Bring your own waders if you have some. We will have some available to borrow. All are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is FREE but spaces are limited, therefore pre-registration is required to reserve your space. Register Here!
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says it best: "Keep Wildlife Wild!"
We know that it is hard to do, but the best thing you can do to help these baby animals is to leave them alone. These animals most likely do not need our help and are best left in their habitats.
To learn more about what to do if you find a baby animal, check out the DNR's website.
If you believe the animal is actually injured, you can find a list of licensed wildlife rehabilitators here. DeVries is NOT a licensed rehabilitator!
