DeVries Nature Conservancy strives to connect children with nature in a variety of ways. Take a look at our one-of-a-kind opportunities to discover your inner wild side! 

Nature Storytime
 




Our Nature Storytime programs are designed to immerse your preschool to early elementary-aged children in the natural world. Each program will consist of different activities, hikes, games and crafts. Please be prepared to go outside and get messy!

Homeschool Program




DeVries provides programs once a month to homeschool families with hands-on activities and in-depth lessons on our natural world.


Our theme for Fall 2024 is "Dinosaur Discovery".

This session we will learn about different types of dinosaurs, how fossils form, paleontology, and more!



Registration for this opens to DNC members on Monday, August 12th. Registration to nonmembers opens on Monday, August 19th. 










NEW! Family Guided Hike Series


Our Family Guided Hike series is brand new this fall! On the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 4-5 pm. This program is for families wanting to get out and explore together! This is not a drop-off program, parents must be present and participate. Each month will have a different themed hike with our Education Coordinator as your guide! 

Hike Themes:
September- Native Flowers & Pollinators
October- Bird Migration
November- The Secret Life of Squirrels
December- Winter Animals & Hibernation

Join us on Wednesday, October 16th from 4-5 pm to learn about bird migration as we hike through the trails. No sign up required. This event is FREE.
